Amanda Bektas, PharmD

Central Clinical Medication Management Team Lead

Dr. Amanda Bektas is the Central Clinical Medication Management Team Lead and Pharmacist-In-Charge at Consana.

She says, “Helping people make meaningful changes in their lives, reach personal health goals, and feel empowered to manage their chronic health conditions are some of the most impactful things I get to do as a clinical pharmacist. It’s clear that patients and providers badly want and need these services; they just don’t know how to access them.”

Amanda Bektas, PharmD

Central Clinical Medication Management Team Lead

Amanda’s background in pharmacy started over 17 years ago in a small independent, community pharmacy where she was able to see the impact a caring pharmacist could have on the health and well-being of real patients (Thanks Rick!). After earning a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ferris State University in 2012, she gained more valuable experience in retail and Long-Term Care pharmacy before joining the team at Consana in their mission of providing person-centered Comprehensive Medication Management (CMM) to their patients.

Because she knows pharmacists are a critical and valuable member of each patient’s care team, Amanda is committed to open communication and sharing of ideas with doctors, nurses, community care coordinators, patients and caregivers. As the Central Clinical Medication Management Team Lead, Amanda is always looking for ways to learn and improve the care process so that each person gets the best possible pharmaceutical care.
